My first blog....

So this is my first attempt at blogging. I was unsure of it for a long time but it seems to be the best format for telling all the funny things that happen to us. I feel like my blog name suits us quite nicely!

For those who have not had the blessing of knowing our acquaintance, Brad and I are already in our mid-thirties. So I guess you have missed almost half of our lives. How sad for you. :) (Wow, how time flies by!) We have three beautiful children: Jillian, age 7; Logan, age 5 (in three weeks); and Jorja, age 3. They certainly keep us on our toes and make us laugh, which is one of the best things about having children.

Logan seems to come up with the best comments that just crack us up. For example, he told Brad that there are only two reasons why people go to the hospital: wolf bites and canker sores. I don't know how he came to that conclusion but he was quite serious about it.

I have to tell another story that happened on July 31st. We were at the annual electric co-op meeting where they give you a dinner, fun rides, blow-up slides, moonwalks and treats all for FREE to entice you to come to the meeting. This is really why we go; we have never been to the actual meeting. So I guess their plan wasn't that successful! ha ha Anyway, one of the rides there was a wooden-looking ship that goes back and forth. At real amusement parks these will go all the way around but here, it was the kiddy version, only doing a half circle instead of the full circle.

I go on it with Jorja and Logan sitting next to me and Jillian sitting across from me. The ride starts and everybody is doing great -- all smiles. Then the ride really gets going high and the fun for me really begins. All of a sudden Logan starts LAUGHING and SCREAMING, "This tickles my penis!" which just makes me bust out laughing. He does this not just once, but repeatedly, to the point where the older kids were looking a little embarrassed. This just makes me laugh harder. Then Jillian starts turning green and she starts yelling, "Mom! I'm going to throw up! Mom! Mom! Help me! I'm going to throw up! Please make this stop!" The really terrible mother side of me thinks this is really funny and in light of what Logan is saying, I just laugh harder, which makes her yell, "Mom! Why are you laughing?! This isn't funny! I'm going to throw up!" By this time she is trying to grab onto the side of the boat, which really has no hold. She would have done better holding onto the bar right in front of her. Of course, this makes me laugh even more. Now, all this time Jorja has sat wide-eyed and stone silent. Finally she decides she doesn't like the ride one bit and starts bawling. Not a whimper, but a full fledge bawl. So now I've got three completely different reactions to the ride from all my children. Poor kids; I just thought it was HILARIOUS and was no help to them. I was too busy laughing.

So there you have it; my first blog. I'll have to get on and play with it a bit more and add other "stuff" but for now this will suffice.

Wow! I've never thought about it as the popular table, but glad I've been there for a while now. When you sent me the cake thing, my first thought to respond was to tell you to send out a life update or journal entry or something cause I MISS YOU!!! You must have read my mind cause I didn't say it cause I didn't want to pressure you.
