A New Call

Brad says he's tired of seeing my last post on the blog so I guess I'd better write about something else. Actually, I've had a very busy week and a lot to tell so here it goes.

Today I was released as Primary President. The bishop dropped the bomb last Sunday and I have to say I was really shocked. I was ready to fill out my two years but I guess it was my time to go. I've had a lot of mixed emotions involved with all of this. On the one hand it will be so nice to not have to worry about so many things and to have more time for doing things around here. However, I have really grown to love the calling, those with whom I work and of course the children. I have learned so much! My good friend, Ali, is the new president and she will do a fantastic job. I am the new primary chorister. I'm glad I'm still in primary; I really feel like that is where I still should be. And, I've always thought the chorister calling would be so much fun. Now I get to see for myself! I think it will be a challenge but I'm up to it and I know I'll do a good job.

All week long I've been busy finishing up things I was working on and doing all of my "lasts" as primary president; PPI with the bishop, presidency meeting, decisions, emails, etc. I was pretty emotional last night and this morning. Brad even asked me if I had cried all night. I assured him that I didn't and he, in his loving way, told me to not be sad because it was the happiest day of his life. Oh brother.

I have some big shoes to fill in my new calling. I can't tell you how glad I am that you'll still be in there to point out my mistakes and coach me through! Love you!
